EurECCA would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to the European Labor Authority (ELA) for organizing the first-ever workshop focused on the aviation sector. We are delighted to have participated in this event that brought together industry experts, professionals and stakeholders to address the various challenges and opportunities within the aviation sector.
The workshop covered an array of crucial topics, including:
- High mobility, transnationality, and seasonality of the aviation sector;
- Adjustment of the sector to the developments and needs of the market;
- Schemes of mobility: staff outsourcing and wet-lease;
- Posting as a part of the transnational provision of services;
- Application of minimum labour standards of the host Member State;
- Application of posting rules at the national and EU level;
- Support for cross-border cooperation and information exchange between national authorities;
- Capacity building activities regarding the labour mobility framework;
- Potential support for cross-border enforcement.
These discussions gave to all of us valuable insights and fostered productive dialogue between attendees. By engaging in these conversations, we have taken the first step in identifying and addressing the challenges that lie ahead for the aviation sector.
EurECCA is confident that this workshop will lead to tangible progress and improvements within the aviation industry.
