EurECCA engages with the European Commission to strengthen Cabin Crew
representation

Last week, the Executive Board of EurECCA, the European Cabin Crew Association, represented by its President Cas Voskuyl, Vice-President Joachim Vázquez Bürger, and Secretary-General Xavier Gautier, met with the European Commission’s DG EMPL in Brussels.

The discussion focused on EurECCA’s inclusion as a permanent member of the European Sectoral Social Dialogue in Civil Aviation, a key platform for coordinated social policy at the European level.

In addition, we addressed current EU legislative proposals that directly impact civil aviation, emphasizing labour and social rights affecting European cabin crew. Air safety regulations were also a major topic, particularly their evolving framework and its implications for crew members.

This constructive exchange of views underscores the importance of ongoing dialogue between EurECCA and European institutions to ensure a strong and effective representation of cabin crew interests across Europe.
