In the light of the two recent aviation incidents involving a Japan Airlines and an Alaska Airlines flights, EurECCA, the European Cabin Crew Association, deserves its utmost respect and gratitude to the cabin crew of these two airlines for their exemplary professionalism and composure under such stressful and emergencies circumstances.

This year is a special one for us at EurECCA, as we celebrate our 10th anniversary. For ten years, we’ve been working hard for the rights and well-being of cabin crew members all over Europe.

EurECCA & ECA wrote to Commissioner Vălean regarding the discussions on pilot fatigue which took place during the Transport Council of Ministers meeting on December 4, 2023. We would like to react to some of her statements as we believe they contain several inaccuracies, which could misinform the ministers, the Parliament, and the public in general.

Atypical forms of employment are on the rise, pushing safety at risk due to bad working conditions and a financial dependency finally leading aircrews to perform flights even if they are not fit to fly.
